TDA’s legal counsel today sent a letter to a Tyler TV station demanding a retraction on a piece they did regarding Hank Gilbert’s statement of fact that 49% of the gas pumps in Smith County were non-compliant at least once from January, 2007 through today (basically, during the tenure of Sleazy Todd Staples.
This changes the entire story dramatically as we now have the threat of legal action against a media outlet for telling the truth. Looks like someone is angling to get disbarred at TDA.
UPDATE : A second television station in the Tyler market has confirmed receipt of a threatening letter from Delores Alvarado Hibbs, General Counsel for TDA.
