And in Austin Metro, this happened…

  • The Wilco Commissioners Court decided to just ignore that pesky part of the Constitution of the United States of America that prohibits religious tests to hold public office. They also ignored a similar prohibition in the Constitution of the State of Texas when they interviewed people to assume a Constable post. When caught, they didn’t deny what they’d done and instead had the gall to defend it.

What’s going to be really funny is seeing how much Wilco has to spend to settle legal claims resulting from this.

  • Council has decided to shelve plans to set up a board to run Austin Energy. We at McBlogger would just like to say thanks to them for doing the right thing. Except for Skeletor. We’ll never thank him for anything even if he pedals up to us hauling one of those asstastic carts filled with gold.
