Along with the news that the economy grew at a faster than expected pace in the fourth quarter, we got the news that the Republican shutdown in October shaved .3% off our growth rate. If we accept the CEA’s estimate that 1% of GDP growth equals 1 million jobs (something the Republicans spoke of often in the debate over the ACA), then Ted Cruz and the teabaggers little temper tantrum cost 300,000 Americans jobs.
Nice work, Ted Cruz.
